Unfortunately, plagiarism from the World Wide Web is becoming more and more of a problem. The following websites provide suggestions for reducing and detecting plagiarism.

In our experience, plagiarism is often a learning issue. Student's simply do not know how to properly credit material from sources. The web provides excellent resources for the writer who wants to learn or brush up on how to credit the ideas or words of others in his or her own writing:

Occasionally, we see students submit a piece of work that suggests intentional "cheating." In those cases, students have typically lifted an essay in whole or part from the web. Below are a few of the most well-known and popular paper mills (sites that provide access to essays):

Evil House of Cheat: www.cheathouse.com/uk/index.html

School Sucks: www.schoolsucks.com

Ivy Essays: www.ivyessays.com
