Letters to the editor are a great way to inform readers about important information. Be sure to keep the letters short and to the point. Also, most newspapers will not print your letter unless it is signed and you provide a phone number to confirm you wrote the letter.

1000 Any Street Daily News Dear Editor: I want to encourage people to participate in the Tenth Annual Walk for Hunger on November 27, 1998, at the City Park. This family 5k fun walk will benefit area food pantries and homeless shelters. Pledge forms are available at all local grocery stores. Or, you can call 1-800-000-0000 for more information. If you can not participate in the walk, but would like to make a donation, please send your check or money order (made out to "Walk for Hunger") to: Walk for Hunger, 805 Anystreet, Suite 100, Anytown, Anystate, 80201.
