Credit Report
It is usually a good idea to review your credit report every two years. To obtain a copy of your credit report contact a credit agency. Be sure to include the following information:
- Name
- Current and past addresses (at least for the past 2 years, preferibly for the past 5 years)
- Date of birth
- Social secruty number
- Copy of drivers license (written requests only)
- Signature (written requests only)
In addition to obtaining a copy of your credit report, the companies listed below can help you stop unwanted junk mail. Credit card companies will often sell your name and address. You may also want to call these credit agencies to stop junk mail that stems from this sale of information. Before you call, be sure to have your previous addresses for the past two years and your social security number handy.

Consumer Complaints (Residents of Colorado)
If after writing a letter of complaint to a business you do not receive the compensation you feel you deserve, the Colorado Consumer Protection Act may offer you a way to fight back. This act protects consumers from unscrupulous business practices.
