THE EDUCATION SYSTEM BETWEEN INDUSTRIALIZED AND DEVELOPING COUNTRIES.
There is a great difference between the education system in the industrialized countries and the developing countries. For example,we can compare two different countries that are put under these categories, U.S.A under industrialized and Ghana under developing . First let us talk about tuition in Ghana the student needs to start paying immediatey when he or she enters the classroom, but back in U .S.A, tuition is not paid till the individual person decides to go to college. Other good privileges are also attained in the U S.A like free lunch, free transportation, and others like borrowing books from the school from one grade to the other till the student completes his or her course. On the other hand, in Ghana there is nothing like free lunch or anything. You need to find the means and ways to get your lunch, transportation, and provide your books and other important things needed for schooling. The expectations of students are too high in Ghana. If you are a good student in English, for instance, you cannot be classified as a good student to the community. You need to be good in all aspects as a student. With the people in U.S.A. there are no high expectations from the students. An average student is considered to be among the best. The clothing student wear is different in U.S.A. Everyone can wear any outfit to school, and whether it is prescribed or not, it is accepted. But in Ghana, there is a uniform for all students; nothing different from that one can be worn. These are some things that make the great difference between the industrialized and developing countries.Date: 11/10/97
