Kathryn Dorr |
My name is Kathryn Dorr. I have worked in the CCD Writing Center for three years now. I do it because I love reading, writing, and talking--anything to do with language. I also teach English 100 at CCD (for the same reasons). After raising my children, I embarked upon a corporate career which extended for twenty years. Then, I remembered that I had never completed my bachelor degree. So, in 1996, I walked away from a high paying, high stress job in order to return to college. In 1999, I graduated from Metropolitan State College with a major in English, and a minor in philosophy. I have now completed two years towards a Master of Humanities degree at CU Denver. (It seems that once I got back into school, I could not stop.) So, for those of you who are raising children while attending school, or holding down a full or part-time job, or returning to school later in life: I understand! |
